The locust drive board will provide for green LEDs to indicate the status of the 15V, 5V, 3.3V and 1.8V power supply voltages. It will also provide for red LEDs for power fuse error and board reset. Finally, the board will provide for two green LEDs for the heartbeat of the DSP and CPLD and a yellow LED to indicate the DSP in safe mode. The locust drive board core components are Digital Signal Processing (DSP) and complex programmable logic device (CPLD). The core is responsible to receive drive input signal from Drive handle and other switches to control the system motion and tube positioning. The logic is also responsible to check the collision sensor and other errors on the drive subsystem to prevent unintended motion. All these are arranged and kept in a carrying case with the shipment label. These are more portable and can be transported at ease.
